Cruise co-founder Vogt named CEO of autonomous driving firm - Channel969
Kyle Vogt, who co-founded autonomous driving firm Cruise in 2013, has been named CEO. He has served as as interim CEO since December 2021 when Dan Ammann, who had been CEO since 2018, abruptly left Cruise. Vogt, 36, additionally will function chief expertise officer and president of Cruise, which GM purchased in 2016 for $1 billion. Vogt made the announcement on Twitter by tweeting he "some enjoyable information" to share. "I've little question it is going to be a tough problem given our very formidable plans, however I couldn't think about doing something extra necessary or extra enjoyable," he mentioned.

Self-driving buses are being tested for use in Karlsruhe
The reality of self-driving cars and autonomous public transport is almost upon us. In Karlsruhe, three autonomous buses have been running since April. The buses don't run specific routes, rather, they can be ordered to certain places. Back in April, the city of Karlsruhe welcomed Vera, Ella and Anna to its streets. These are the names of three autonomous e-buses, which are part of a project funded by the Ministry for Transport.
